EPIC gathers the daily bids from the 12 main export buyers across South Australia
This data is then entered in a spread sheet by Company, Commodity, Grade, Port and season and this calculates the best price.
We also update spreads, payment terms, minimum tonnages etc daily.
Best prices are then sent via Email, SMS and Fax. Grain lots listed with target prices are checked for matches with buyer bids. If there is a match with an indicative target price we will then contact the grower to confirm that he is happy to sell, go through any monthly storage charges that may apply or spreads in the case of forward contracts and also buyer payment terms.
If there is a match with a firm target price EPIC will not contact the grower the contract will be completed by the EPIC staff on the grower’s behalf taking into account any monthly storage charges, or spreads in the case of forward contracts and also buyer payment terms.
We recommend that you check contract copies thoroughly as soon as you get them to ensure there are no errors.
Annual Registration Fee – $350 exclusive of GST (due July annually)
Contract cost – $1.00 exclusive of GST per tonne to the grower, including forward contracts capped at 5000T in the one season.
Additional SMS Fee – $50 exclusive of GST
